New York, April 15, 2020, SPA -- Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallami has recently participated in the second virtual meeting of the Arab Group, which hosted UN Deputy Secretary-General, Amina Muhammad, Vice President of the World Bank Group for the Middle East and North Africa, Ferid Belhaj, and UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock, to discuss joint efforts to confront the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on achieving the sustainable development goals. In his speech during the meeting, Ambassador Al-Muallami reviewed the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in combating COVID-19 pandemic, along with its cooperation with the international community and the United Nations to reduce its implications, urging the Arab states to support the decision that Saudi Arabia will present with a number of countries on the united response against global health threats in fighting COVID-19.
