KSA Delegation to UN Office, in Europe, Celebrates Kingdom's Nomination for UNESCO Executive Board

Geneva, Oct 25, 2019, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) delegation to the United Nations office, in Geneva, has organized a reception here, on the occasion of the Kingdom's nomination for the UNESCO Executive Board, in the November elections, to be held, in Paris. The head of the Kingdom's delegation and the Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations office, in Geneva, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel welcomed the attendees, noting that Saudi Arabia was the fourth among 20 countries, which initially sign an document establishing the UNESCO. Dr. Al-Wasel added that, in 2016, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia embarked on a national transformation called “Vision 2030,” which aims to diversify the economy and develop public services sectors, such as health, education and tourism, through a roadmap to build a better future, enabling citizens to realize their dreams and hopes. UNESCO's key strategic priorities are in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, such as education for all, safeguarding tangible and intangible heritage, and innovation for social and sustainable development.
