Manama, Safar 23, 1440, Nov 1, 2018, SPA -- As part of efforts to protect national security, the concerned security authorities of the Kingdom of Bahrain have foiled an attempted trafficking operation of six fugitives wanted on terrorism charges. Bahrain News Agency (BNA) stated that a boat was made ready to carry six fugitives and to sail from Samaheej coast and that the investigation revealed that one of the arrestees was in contact with a fugitive in Iran who arranged the operation. Investigations also led to identifying and arresting some individuals suspected of sheltering and assisting the fugitives, BNA said. The Bahraini General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has taken legal proceedings to refer the arrestees to the Public Prosecution while the investigation will continue to know the circumstances of the trafficking operation and those involved in the case. --SPA 00:05 LOCAL TIME 21:05 GMT 0036 www.spa.gov.sa/w780190
