Riyadh, Safar 09, 1440, October 18, 2018, SPA -- The number of Umrah visas issued for the period of 1440H until the end of the month of Muharram was 372,767, with an increase of 52% compared to last year, which was 243,951 visas, whereas the number of those coming to perform Umrah was 146,453, compared to 61,453 people last season, with an increase by 138%. According to the statistical report published by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for the month of Muharram, the number of departures of Umrah performers and visitors reached 23,241; with an increase compared to the last season by 348%, where the number reached 5,182. The objective of the statistical report is to track the movement of visas, arrivals and departures during the entire month and compare them with the previous season to improve the quality of services being provided for pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors to reach advanced levels of beneficiaries' satisfaction, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. --SPA 15:53 LOCAL TIME 12:53 GMT 0017 www.spa.gov.sa/w768884
