No Bird Flu H5N8 Case Reported, in Saudi Arabia -Environment Daily Briefing Announces

Riyadh, Sha'ban 11, 1439, April 27, 2018, SPA -- The daily briefing of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on avian influenza H5NB, announced that there was no infection cases reported, throughout the Kingdom, during the past 24 hours. The ministry indicated that the number of samples collected since the beginning of the spread, stood at 14096, from all regions of the Kingdom. Results indicated that there are 182 positive cases with elimination of 1068 birds, during the same period. Generally speaking, no report has been received in terms of the spread, during the period, too, while the number of inquiries reached 2, the ministry reaffirmed. On the other hand, awareness and survey campaigns will continue, in all regions of the Kingdom, in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, the briefing concluded. -- SPA 19:16 LOCAL TIME 16:16 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w678373
