Saudi Federation for Cyber Security, Programming, Google Co-Sign Accord to Establish 5 Mega-Hubs

Riyadh, Sha'ban 1, 1439, Apr 17, 2018, SPA -- The Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming and Google co-signed here today a final accord to establish 5 Google Innovation Hubs, in order to upgrade and train locally-based gifted and talented, in the domain of pro-types production and designing of mobile and artificial intelligence applications. The agreement aims at making 5 Google Innovation Hubs, across the Kingdom, to embrace the talents and consolidate joint endeavors related to national potentials upgrading, in the field of advanced software, with the first of these hubs to be situated at the federation headquarters, envisioned to be the biggest of its kind, in the world, with a capacity of 40 thousand trainees, per annum. The agreement included many aspects, mainly attracting local talents, training them and providing them with educational ant technical subjects and syllabus related to advanced technologies, in addition to equipping a training laboratory, in an appropriate environment to upgrade local talents and providing local guidance and back up, in the domain of IT, sophisticated software and artificial intelligence for the developers and innovators. The hubs, across the Kingdom, aim at all walks of the society, including pupils form 8 years and over, vocational centers' apprentices, amateurish and those interested of the domain. The hubs, in addition, will provide them with an environment gathering speakers, specialists and well experienced practitioners and entrepreneurs to enrich Google Innovation Hubs' community. The agreement was co-signed by Chairman of the federation Saud bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani for the federation and Matt Brittin, President of EMEA Business and Operations, at Google’s business and operations, in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, for Google. Commenting following the co-signing ceremony, Al-Qahtani remarked that this agreement with a global company such as Google would not have taken place without the vision of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Ministers' Council and Minister of Defense, as a completion of the latest great successes achieved, during HRH Crown Prince latest visit to the United States of America, including a visit paid to Google Headquarters, concluding that the agreement will actively and attractively contribute to polarize the amateurs, talented and innovators among the youth of both sexes and will be a world class center, in the industry of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence. -- SPA 22:23 LOCAL TIME 19:23 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w670814
