New York, Rajab 13, 1439, Mar 30, 2018, SPA -- His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, met here today with the five permanent members of the Security Council, including French representative Francois Delattre; US representative Nikki Haley; Russian representative Vasily Nebenzya; Chinese representative Ma Zhaoxu and British representative Jonathan Allen. During the meeting, they discussed the general situations in the Middle East, including the latest developments in the Yemeni crisis and Iranian-backed Houthi violations. For his part, HRH the Crown Prince affirmed, for the representatives of the major countries, the necessity that the Security Council must assume responsibility in this regard in addition to the need to respect international treaties, conventions and law and the United Nations Convention, asserting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to the UN Charter and the great bilateral cooperation.
