Second Session of International Conference on Interfaith Dialogue for Peace Starts in Vienna

Vienna, Jumada II 11, 1439, February 27, 2018, SPA -- The second session of the International Conference on Interfaith Dialogue started here today under the title "Interreligious Dialogue for Peace: Promoting Peaceful Coexistence & Common Citizenship”, organized by Vienna-based King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID). The conference gathered 250 individuals, leaders, religious institutions and policy makers from various international institutions. The Secretary General of KAICIID Faisal bin Abdul Rahman bin Muammar said during his speech that the Center has played a leading role in engaging religious leaders, institutions and policy makers in working together to build sustainable projects through dialogue for combating extremism and hatred. He pointed out that the Center receives support from the founding countries, topped by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which took the initiative to establish the center in partnership with the Republic of Austria, the Kingdom of Spain and the Vatican, expressing his thanks to the representatives of these countries. -- SPA 03:13 LOCAL TIME 00:13 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w625492
