Khartoum, Muharram 20, 1439, October 10, 2017, SPA -- In cooperation with the Yemeni community and Yemeni students in Khartoum, the Sudanese-Saudi Friendship Association organized a demonstration in Khartoum today criticizing the recently-released UN report on the performance of Arab Coalition in Yemen, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Demonstrators, including a wide-range of protesters from Sudan's civil organizations, handed over a memo to the UN representative in Khartoum, rejecting holding the Arab coalition responsible for killing and injuring Yemeni children, and describing the report as inaccurate and confusing. Dr. Yasser Al-Jimaiabi, head of the association, called on the UN representative in Sudan to re-view the contents of the report which, he said, lacks evidence and proof. He said the coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, works for the restoration of legitimacy, protection of children and normalization of the situations in Yemen while the Houthis and troops loyal to deposed Ali Saleh are the violators of human rights in Yemen who deserve criticism. --SPA 21:07 LOCAL TIME 18:07 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w509208
