"This decision was a recognition of the positive measures taken by the Government of the Sudan to maintain a cessation of hostilities in the conflict zones of Sudan and to emoliorate humanitarian assistance to reach all parts of Sudan and to maintain cooperation with the United States in addressing regional conflicts and the threat of terrorism," State Department spokeswoman Heather Noiret said in a press release.
