Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources meets with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade

Moscow, Muharram 15, 1439, Oct 5, 2017, SPA -- Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, and his accompanying delegation met here today with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov on the sidelines of the current official visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Russian Federation. The meeting discussed issues pertaining to the importance of joint coordination between the Kingdom and Russia in the fields of aluminum industries, ships and drilling equipment for oil and gas, as well as electronic industries, communications and navigation devices. The two ministers discussed the importance of cooperation in the field of railway and rail industry, in addition to the Russian experience in localizing some industrial sectors. Eng. Al-Falih clarified that the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Russian Federation will achieve a quantum leap in the field of bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing that the political and economic weight of the two friendly countries and coordination between them will achieve positive results at the global level in the economic and political fields, especially in the energy sector. He stressed the importance of transferring the cooperation experience in the field of energy to other non-oil fields, such as: manufacturing and mining, and access to emerging markets in Africa and the Middle East. He pointed out to the importance of joint work to increase the level of trade exchange between the two countries, and to overcome all obstacles, especially in the presence of will of the political leadership and executive institutions. He also stressed the tendency of the Saudi companies to the Russian market, highlighting the importance of the Saudi Export Development Authority to organize exhibitions of the Saudi industries in Russia to support this investment trend. Eng.
