Yemeni Foreign Minister Confirms before UN Security Council, Government Bids Made to Bring about Peace

New York, Dhu-AlQa'dah 26, 1438, Aug 18, 2017, SPA -- Yemeni Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Yemen Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi affirmed government's willingness to make all concessions, whatever the difficulties, for the just and sustainable peace that the Yemeni people deserve. "We have accepted all proposals made by the UN envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, and we will remain open to all ideas and proposals, however, this Council, he added in a speech to the UN Security Council, during the opening briefing on the Middle East, should exert international pressure on the other parties to accept these proposals, to show sincere intentions and open minds to bring about peace through the table of consultations.
