Riyadh, Dhu-Al-Qa'dah 17, 1438, August 09, 2017, SPA -- The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has temporarily banned the importing of live animals from Nigeria on official international reports disclosing the occurance of cases of the Rift Valley fever (RVF) in the west African country. Director-General of the Department of Animal Risk Assessment Dr. Sanad Al-Harbi, said the ban was based on the precautionary bulletin issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) reporting that there are cases of Rift Valley fever in that country. --SPA 17:18 LOCAL TIME 14:18 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w463142
