Washington, 05 Ramadan,1438 AH, 31 May,2017 , SPA -- US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Stuart Jones has praised the results of the visit of President Donald Trump of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He pointed out that the Global Center for Combating Extremism "ETIDAL" launched in the city of Riyadh aims to combat the ideology of extremism, reveal and refute it in cooperation with other governments. Jones confirmed that the United States of America shares the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of security to face the threats in the region specially that being originated from Iran and said, "We want for our Saudi security partners to have what they need to secure their borders and region and send a strong message that we will stand with our security partners." He expressed his worry about the Iranian influence in Syria, saying "We do not see the Iranian presence there in order to reach a political solution or a security solution for Syria and it is clear that one of the sources of extremism, the terrorist threat, comes from Iran, and this part comes from the Iranian regime which does not respond at all to Iranian voters." -- SPA 14:37 LOCAL TIME 11:37 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w418276
