Riyadh, Rajab 28, 1438, April 25, 2017, SPA -- -- The Assistant Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for economic and developmental affairs Khalifa bin Saeed Al-Ebry announced today that the ministerial committee formed by GCC industry ministers has approved a decision issued by the standing committee to combat harmful practices in international trade, affiliated to the GCC, imposing final fees ranging from 12% to 25% for five years, effective June 25, 2017 to combat dumping of Korean automotive batteries into the GCC markets. He said the decision came after a one-year-long investigation into the harmful practices in international trade launched by the technical secretariat bureau, an affiliate of the GCC secretariat general, in which Korean battery exporters, Korean governmental bodies, including the Korean embassy in Riyadh, GCC importers, and GCC battery manufacturers took part. --SPA 18:41 LOCAL TIME 15:41 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w385989
