The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet commended the various scientific and economic conferences hosted by the Kingdom during the past week with their results and recommendations, confirming what has been asserted by participants in the first conference on control of use of social networks in Islam organized by Naif bin Abdulaziz International Award of Prophetic Sunnah and Contemporary Islamic Studies at the Islamic University in Madinah of the importance of the application of legitimate controls in the use of social networks and the clarification of their role in the dissemination of moderation and anti-extremism and terrorism thought. The Cabinet stressed that the Kingdom's hosting of 14th International Arab Conference for Mineral Resources and the accompanying exhibition under the theme "Arab Mineral Resources, Strategic Resources and Promising Investment Opportunities" emanates from the principle of fraternal bonds, cooperation and integration among Arab countries in all economic and developmental fields, and as an embodiment of the Kingdom's support for the joint Arab action, hailing the Conference's recommendations and decisions. After that, the Cabinet reviewed a number of reports on the development of events in the region and the world, valuing signing the agreement of implementing a nutrition program to counter malnutrition in Hodeidah in the Republic of Yemen at a cost of $ 10 million signed by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid in Rome with the World Food Program, that would address the risk of the acute malnutrition for children under five years of age where emergency food aid is being provided for more than 464,000 beneficiaries in Hodeidah for six months. The Cabinet condemned the terrorist attack which targeted a security point in North Sinai of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the explosions that took place in the provinces of Adana and Sirnak of the Republic of Turkey, reaffirming the Kingdom's stand and solidarity with sisterly Republics of Egypt and Turkey in the fight against terrorism, expressing its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded. --More 16:15 LOCAL TIME 13:15 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w278589
