Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Sultan, who is also Chairman of Projects and Planning Center and Member of the Higher Commission for the Developing of the City of Riyadh, confirmed that the aim of holding "A Day in Riyadh" event, in the UN headquarters in New York, ongoing since last Monday, is to show the efforts being exerted by the city of Riyadh amid challenges and how to benefit from the UN experience and enhance cooperation between Riyadh city agencies and the UN programs and agencies. In a statement to SPA, Al-Sultan said that preparations for this exhibition started early this year, under direct supervision of Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, and Chairman of Higher Commission for the Developing of the City of Riyadh. He said that several workshops are held on the sidelines of the event to reflect the urban, economic, social and environmental developments in Riyadh, with specialists from the U.S.A., Europe, and Australia participating in them.
