Riyadh, Dhu-AlQa'dah 30, 1437, Sep 2, 2016, SPA -- The Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued the following decision: Praise be to Allah Almighty and may blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and companions, the Supreme Court held a session yesterday, on Thursday evening, Dhu-AlQa'dah 29, 1437H (September 1st, 2016) to consider the sighting of the crescent of the lunar month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1437H. Since no response incoming to it from the courts and committees across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this regard, the Supreme Court decided that today, on Friday which is the 2nd of the month of September 2016 supplements the month of Dhu-AlQa'dah and that tomorrow, on Saturday, the 3rd of September 2016 will be the start of the lunar month of Dhu al-Hijjah of 1437H. In its decision, the Supreme Court set Sunday, the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1437H, corresponding to September 11th, 2016 as the standing on Arafat Mount and that Eid Al-Adha will be on Monday, the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1437H corresponding to the 12th of September, 2016. --SPA 14:33 LOCAL TIME 11:33 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
