Tropical Storm Warning Cancelled in Hawaii

Hilo, Dhu-AlHijjah 1, 1437, Sep 2, 2016, SPA -- A tropical storm warning for Madeline in Hawaii was cancelled Thursday, as the storm moved to the south of the U.S. Pacific state’s Big Island. However, the islands will feel the effects of strong winds, prompting the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue a wind advisory. Winds of 40 to 55 kilometers per hour (kph), with gusts to 80 kph, will affect the island chain Madeline was downgraded from a category-1 hurricane to a tropical storm Wednesday, although it brought periods of intense rainfall.
