Kuala Lumpur/Jakarta, Dhu-AlQa'dah 14, 1437, August 17, 2016, SPA -- The Indonesian Navy denied reports that an oil tanker had been hijacked off Malaysia, saying that the crew took it to Indonesian waters because of "internal management issues," dpa reported. Earlier, a Malaysian official said the MT Vier Harmoni was believed to have been hijacked while sailing from the port of Tanjung Pelepas with 1.57 million ringgit (392,700 dollars) worth of diesel on Monday. "The tanker was not hijacked as there were no indications of violence," Indonesian Navy spokesman Edi Sucipto said. "The captain contacted the agent twice asking to enter Batam because of internal management problems, but he did not disclose his position," he said, adding that the navy was trying to determine the location of the Indonesian-flagged tanker. --SPA 13:36 LOCAL TIME 10:36 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
