Riyadh, Dhu-AlQa'dah 9, 1437, Aug 12, 2016, SPA -- The Governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khalifi, has reiterated the Agency's commitment that SAMA will uphold its mandate of maintaining the peg at SAR 3.7500 per USD, pointing out that the source of the speculations on the Saudi Riyal, which occur from time to time in the futures market is due to inaccurate predictions. In a statement made by him today, Dr. Al-Khalifi said that SAMA has already emphasized on different occasions to continue its policy of the current exchange rate of Saudi Riyal, and that it has sufficient tools to support SAR exchange rate, noting that this adopted policy of a fixed exchange rate since more than three decades has been and still remains as an important pillar in supporting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's economy. --SPA 15:31 LOCAL TIME 12:31 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
