RiyadhMinister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir received at his office here today Mauritius Deputy Premier and Minister of Islamic Affairs and Hajj Shawkat Sodhen. Following the meeting, Al-Jubeir lauded the level of bilateral relations between the two countries and the keenness to enhance them in a number of fields of cooperation. In reply to a question raised by SPA reporter on the Saudi Russian relations, Al-Jubeir confirmed that the Kingdom is keen to build the best relations with Russia in a number of joint cooperation fields, describing Russia as an important great country which is home to more than 20 million Muslims. He said that, in this regard, a number of agreements have been signed between the two sides, including cooperation in the field of oil and energy and enhancement of joint investments in addition to constructive cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, noting the efforts being exerted to achieve the Kingdom's vision 2030. As regards the Syrian crisis, Al-Jubeir noted that despite difference of points of views towards the issue, the joint cooperation level would not be affected, confirming that the coordination and cooperation between the two countries is continuing to narrow the gap between view points on the Syrian crisis. --SPA 19:56 LOCAL TIME 16:56 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
