Seoul, Shawwal 14, 1437, July 19, 2016, SPA -- North Korea launched three ballistic missiles early Tuesday in Pyongyang's latest defiance of United Nations resolutions against the communist regime's use of such military technology, the South Korean news agency reported, citing the South Korean military, according to dpa. The rockets, believed to be modified from outdated Soviet SCUD missile systems with a range of up to 600 kilometres, were fired from northern North Korea toward the Sea of Japan. Pyongyang has fired several rockets in recent weeks.
