RIO DE JANEIRO, Ramadan 19, 1437, June 24, 2016, SPA -- The organizers of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics have unveiled the athletes' village, where nearly 11,000 competitors and some 6,000 coaches and other team members will stay during the Aug. 5-21 games, according to AP. Local organizing committee spokesman Mario Andrada said Thursday that the complex, made up of 31 towers, represents the largest athletes' village in Olympic history. It also includes a massive cafeteria and gym, a post office, a first aid center and bank. The towers were built by private developers and are being marketed to the public at large. Buyers are to move in after the games. Andrada declined to provide the cost of constructing the sprawling complex or the asking price of the units.
