Managua, Ramadan 5, 1437, Jun 10, 2016, SPA -- A 6.1-magnitude earthquake registering and several aftershocks struck north-western Nicaragua, the US Geological Survey reported Friday. According to dpa, the epicentre of the quake, which struck Thursday evening local time, was 17 kilometres east of the village of Puerto Marazan. Four weaker aftershocks struck the same region a short time later. The Nicaraguan government has so far made no reports about damage or injuries, but government spokewoman, Nicaraguan first lady Rosalio Murillo said the quake felt "very strong and unusual" and was felt in almost all the country.
