Strasbourg, 24 Sha'ban,1437 AH, 31 May,2016 , SPA -- The Secretary General of Muslim World League Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki visited today Al-Kabeer Mosque in Strasbourg, northern France, during which he was briefed on the mosque's components, built on an area of 10,000 square meters, and is the second largest mosque in Europe in terms of the numbers of worshipers as it can accommodate more than 2000 worshipers. DR. Al-Turki also visited Al-Noor Centre project in the city of Mulhouse, four-stories on 4,600 square meters, including a mosque that will accommodate three thousand worshipers, a school to teach Arabic language to serve 300 students, sports facilities, and other services. The project, which will be completed next year, costs 24 million Euros and the center serves 250,000 persons of Muslim communities in Germany, Switzerland and France. Al-Noor Association ofofficial Islamic Societies, which was founded in 1973, takes care of the introduction of Islam, defends and serves the Muslim communities through various activities.
