Jeddah, Sha'ban 22, 1437,May 29, 2016, SPA -- Council of Gulf International Relations denounced what it called Iranian regime's endeavor to politicize Hajj and implement ethnic and sectarian agenda which never match with the principles and values of Islam or what Muslims believe in, stressing the right of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent any politicization of the annual event for the sake of preservation of the safety of pilgrims from any actions that might harm and threaten their lives. The head of the Council of Gulf International Relations and President of the Arab Association for Press and Media Freedom Dr. Tariq bin Khalifa AL-Shammari said that the Iranian regime has targeted the safety of pilgrims so many over the past years, with attempts of terrorist operations during Hajj. Dr. Shammari stressed that the killings of Arab Muslims in Iraq, the crush of cities and murder of people in Syria, cannot serve Iran to market its odd logic among Muslims. -- SPA 21:37 LOCAL TIME 18:37 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
