Yemeni coup militias committed war crimes enjoying no statutes of limitations, Symposium says

Riyadh, Rajab 15, 1437, April 22, 2016, SPA -- The Yemeni Alliance for Monitoring Human Rights Violations held here on Thursday an open dialogue on human rights violations which occurred in Yemen from December 1, 2014 till December 31, 2015. During the session chaired by the Chairman of the Arab League's Human Rights Commission Dr. Hadi Bin Ali Al-Yami, the Yemeni Alliance for Monitoring Human Rights Violations' coordinator Mutahr Al-Butheeji stressed that Al-Houthi and Saheh coup militias have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity that are not governed by statutes of limitations, saying that these militias criminally, directly and indirectly, are responsible for those crimes and violations. He spoke in details about a large number of crimes carried out by the coup militias including murder, indiscriminate shelling by heavy weapons on residential neighborhoods and cities, forced disappearances, torture of detainees, imposing siege on residential areas and other crimes. --SPA 02:42 LOCAL TIME 23:42 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
