Riyadh, Rajab 10, 1437, April 17, 2016, SPA -- Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashed Al-Zayani, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, received at his office in Riyadh today the envoy of Australia for combating terrorism Milz Armitaj, currently on a visit to the Kingdom. During the meeting, efforts being exerted by the world community to fight terrorism and ways of enhancing cooperation in the field of promoting regional security development were discussed. For his part, Dr. Al-Zayani confirmed the keenness and determination of the GCC member states to continue their political, diplomatic and security efforts to combat terrorist organizations and dry-up their sources of finance and confront their extremist thoughts which is distant from true Islam and its principles and values which call for moderation and tolerance.
