Amsterdam, Jumada II 27, 1437, Apr 5, 2016, SPA -- A group of 31 Syrian refugees were the first to arrive in Netherlands from Turkey as part of the EU's migration deal with Ankara, dpa quoted a Justice Ministry spokeswoman in The Hague as saying Tuesday. The EU is giving Turkey 6 billion euros (6.8 billion dollars) to take back irregular migrants who land in Greece, as part of the agreement which went into effect on Monday. For each returned Syrian migrant, the bloc has pledged to take in a Syrian refugee living in Turkey. On Monday 32 Syrians to were flown from Turkey to Germany and a further 11 to Finland. The Dutch immigration authorities had pre-checked the 31 Syrians for a right to asylum while they were in Turkey, the spokeswoman said. The refugees were selected by the UN's refugee agency and Turkish authorities. --SPA 16:21 LOCAL TIME 13:21 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
