Al-Jubeir: the Kingdom Works with the International Community, its Formal Organizations to Achieve Global Peace 2 Riyadh

The Foreign Minister considered New Zealand as the first partner for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia economically in the Middle East region, stressing that his talks with his New Zealand counterpart were characterized by agreement and a serious desire to strengthen and intensify cooperation between the two countries with regard to the economic, political and security aspects, hailing the graciousness of the New Zealand government with the 7,000 Saudi students studying there. Al-Jubeir drew attention to the cooperation between the two countries in the security field, particularly with regard to countering terrorism and extremism, stressing the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to intensify work and strengthen this relationship and partnership in this regard, referring to numerous topics addressed by his meeting with Foreign Minister of New Zealand, including the Arab-Israeli conflict and the need to find real and serious solutions to this conflict, taking into account that these solutions are built on international legitimacy resolutions, based on the principle of two states, and the Arab initiative on this matter. He said, "Our discussions today touched on the Syrian crisis, and the inevitability of finding a solution for it, based on the outputs of (Geneva 1), and the UN Security Council resolution (2254), and the same applies to the current situation in the Republic of Yemen, which had its share of the talks, explaining the great work done by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its efforts aimed at achieving stability and security in Yemen, and to reach a peaceful solution that ensures the return of the Yemeni legitimate government, and the meeting of parties and factions of Yemen at one table, adopting the principle of dialogue as the approach to ensure Yemen's return to stability which the Yemeni people deserves. The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that there is a forthcoming meeting of all factions of Yemen in the State of Kuwait, in order to come out with peaceful political solutions ensuring stability and security in their country, and this is precisely what is sought and aspired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, because it wants for Yemen nothing but stability and security. About Iran's practices, violations and interference in the affairs of countries in the region with the aim of destabilizing and spreading chaos and ruin in them, he confirmed that he discussed with his New Zealand counterpart these practices, Iran's interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region, its stark refusal and violation of international laws and principles the neighborhood, its insistence on interfering in the affairs of others, and how that hinders and affects the implementation of Security Council resolutions and all international efforts, which seek to achieve world peace. For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand hailed the bilateral relationship between his country and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, pointing out that his visit to the Kingdom enabled him to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, and a number of Saudi ministers and officials, as well as to meet with Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council ( GCC ) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, stressing that his country is looking to expand the cooperation with the GCC countries at the level of trade and economic ties, including a free trade agreement with the GCC, as well to strengthen and enhance relations between the two parties, which he described as strong, to serve the people of these friendly countries and the people of New Zealand. The Foreign Minister of New Zealand dismissed the idea that his country is immune to terrorism and terrorist crimes, stressing that terrorism is a problem facing the entire world, and his country is a part of this world, pointing out that terrorism cannot be attributed to a certain race or religion because everyone in the world is suffering from terrorism and is rejected by the international community, without exception. --SPA 23:35 LOCAL TIME 20:35 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
