Brussels, Jumada I 28, 1437, Mar 8, 2016, SPA -- Yemen's Prime Minister and minister of foreign affairs Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi, vowed today that his government supports UN efforts to resume consultations with rebels to bring about peace in the country. During a meeting with the Arab ambassadors accredited to Belgium held at the Arab League Mission headquarters in Brussels, Al-Mikhlafi said the Yemeni legitimate government and the world community support the efforts of the United Nations special envoy to Yemen Ismail Would Al-Sheikh to resume consultations with rebels with the aim to bring about peace and stability to the country despite the progress made by the national army and popular resistance supported by the Arab Coalition forces. In remarks carried by the Yemeni News Agency, Al-Mikhlafi said the Houthi militias and Saleh group still reject to implement all the agreements related to confidence-building, comprehensive ceasefire and return to negotiations. He briefed the Arab ambassadors on the latest developments in Yemen and the outcome of his talks with European Commission senior officials, hoping that the ambassadors work to correct the wrong profile on what is going on in Yemen to the world community. --SPA 19:42 LOCAL TIME 16:42 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
