Geneva, Jumada I 21, 1437, March 01, 2016, SPA -- On behalf of the Secretary General of the United Nations, the Director of Cultural Affairs of the United Nations Francisco Pichano and Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, the Head of Human Rights Commission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, co-opened a photographic exhibition on Saudi cultural legacy on the fringes of the 31st Human Rights Council meetings. At an opening speech of the event which lasts for four days, Pichano thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its participation with this exhibition gifted to the world community. For his part, Al-Aiban said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoys great historical, political and economical dimensions as well as its religious one as it is home to the religion of Islam and the two holy mosques. He cast light on its geographical location as junction to the east and west and the historical trade routes.
