Clinton expected to win South Carolina primary

Washington, Jumada I 18, 1437, Feb 27, 2016, SPA -- Hillary Clinton enters the South Carolina Democratic primary on Saturday with a large lead in polls over rival Bernie Sanders in the US presidential campaign, dpa reported. The former US secretary of state leads Sanders by 26 points in an aggregate of 10 local polls. According to the website realclearpolitics.com, she has the support of 58 per cent of Democratic voters compared with 32 per cent for Sanders. African-American voters are considered the key to winning South Carolina, and Clinton has a clear lead among them. The population of the state is 4.8 million and about 27 per cent are black, according to the US Census Bureau.
