According to the website realclearpolitics.com, she has the support of 58 per cent of Democratic voters compared with 32 per cent for Sanders. African-American voters are considered the key to winning South Carolina, and Clinton has a clear lead among them. The population of the state is 4.8 million and about 27 per cent are black, according to the US Census Bureau.
