He confirmed that the viewpoints of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkey are identical as regards the ways of solving the disputes and skirmishes orchestrating the region. He added that the two countries stand side by side in the face of sectarian trends and terrorism, whatever its sources or justifications. He said that the Kingdom and Turkey are together working for the stability of the region, vowing that Turkey views the stability of the Gulf region as integral part of its own stability. He said the two countries support the moderate Syrian opposition, describing their recent meeting in Riyadh as very successful. The two countries would like to see a political solution in Iraq, restoration of legitimacy in Yemen and a stable reconciliatory government in Libya. He paid tribute to the Saudi leadership's position in support of the Syrian people facing state terrorism and deteriorating human living situations. Commenting on the Islamic Alliance, the Turkish Premier said that Turkey will support any coalition against terror, no doubt, regardless of the excuse or justifications made by terrorists. He expressed pessimism that forthcoming Geneva conference would not achieve quick results to solve the Syrian crisis, citing that the international community is not serious in this regard. He added that, since there is no other option for the time being, the Kingdom and Turkey have opted to support the Syrian opposition's participation in Geneva conference, hoping that it would strike success.
