Riyadh, Rabi'II 10, 1437, Jan 20, 2016, SPA -- Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, the Foreign Minister, met with Wang Yi, China's foreign minister, at his guest residence in Riyadh today. During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the Kingdom and China, and ways of enhancing them in addition to a number of issues of mutual concern at the regional and international arenas. The meeting was attended by Osamah Nogali, Head of Information Department at the ministry of foreign affairs; Azam Al-Gain, undersecretary of the ministry for protocol affairs; and Riyadh bin Ahmed Al-Mubaraki, Charge d'Affaires of the Saudi embassy in China. On the Chinese side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Chang Ming and the Chinese ambassador to the Kingdom Li Ching Won. In a statement following the meeting, Al-Jubeir expressed profound welcome of China's foreign minister as part of the President's accompanying delegation, describing the visit as historical as it yielded very important results as regards the promotion of the strategic relations between the two countries, citing that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the President of the Peoples Republic of China Xi Jinping have reached understanding on establishing strategic partnership between the two countries. --More 17:04 LOCAL TIME 14:04 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
