New Guinean prime minister named: economist, mining executive Youla

Conakry, Rabi'I 16, 1437, December 27, 2015, SPA -- Mining executive Mamady Youla will be Guinea's next prime minister, announced President Alpha Conde Sunday, saying the appointment confirms the government's commitment to growth and job creation, according to dpa. Youla, 54, is an economist who has been serving as the chief executive of a bauxite and alumina development firm. He has extensive experience in the transport sector, energy, mining, and in the Guinean Central Bank.
