For his part, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior Lt. Col. Talal Al-Shalhoub asserted the high commitment rate among citizens and residents as they experience the first day of government-imposed curfew order in all regions, governorates and centers of the Kingdom as part of precautionary measures to contain Coronavirus spread. He stated that a number of curfew-related violations were detected by security forces. He highlighted some video clips ignoring the curfew order, disclosing that the security authorities have arrested a number of violators and applied legal procedures against them. Al-Shalhoub called on all citizens and residents to confront rumors and take information from government and official entities, highlighting the Saudi News Agency's accounts on social media which include all government announcements and new cases reports. He stressed that the curfew order also applies to highways, urging all to adjust their travel moves according to curfew duration. For his part, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce Abdurrahman Al-Hussein affirmed that citizens and residents needs are available all through and that everyone can request them through electronic delivery applications. Al-Hussein stressed that supervisory teams at the Ministry of Commerce have embarked 3,100 tours to all sectors of nutrition and warehouses to ensure the availability of food stocks, even during curfew periods.
