Security Spokesman: Most Wanted Was Arrested 24 Hours After His Two Companions Were Killed

Riyadh, Rajab 24, 1437, May 1, 2016, SPA -- Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Gen. Mansour Al-Turki confirmed that "During the past two days, a security operation was conducted in Besha Governorate, Asir Region, which resulted in the arrest of the most wanted for security authorities Oqab bin Megib Qazaan Al-Otaibi." During a press conference held here today, Al-Turki said that "The security authorities arrested the wanted 24 hours after two wanted were killed, namely Abdulaziz Ahmed Mohammed Al-Bakri Al-Shehri and Yasser Ali Yusuf Al-Hudi, who were previously announced as wanted after verifying their identities." Al-Turki pointed out that the security operation was conducted in a wild and rugged area east Besha Governorate over an area of 40km for 36 hours. The operation started at dawn on Friday following the detection of two cars; one of which was transporting explosive materials and was targeted by security forces. The two wanted got off the cars and took refuge in a mountainous area. Al-Turki also said that the security forces dealt with the situation firmly and as a result the wanted Abdulaziz Al-Shehri and Yasser Al-Hudi were killed.
