Kathmandu, Rajab 5, 1437, Apr 12, 2016, SPA -- At least 22 people were killed and 23 injured when a bus crashed in eastern Nepal Tuesday, dpa cited police as saying. The bus went off a road and careened more than 100 metres down a hill. The injured victims were airlifted to Kathmandu hospitals. The bus was on its way from Diktel, in Khotang district, to Kathmandu, more than 250 kilometres away. Police were yet to determine how many people were traveling on the bus, but witnesses said it was overcrowded.
