Final Communiqué of the GCC countries' Information Ministers' 24th Session 2 Riyadh

The Ministers reviewed the outcome of the first meeting of the Joint Media Action, emanating from the third extraordinary meeting of Information Ministers held in Riyadh on 02/18/2016 and the adoption of the findings of a team of recommendations aimed at clarifying the firm position of the GCC countries toward interdependence and belief in common destiny, common defense and media. Implementation of the decision of the GCC, declaring the Hezbollah militia and all its leaders, its factions and organizations affiliated and emanating from it, a terrorist organization, issued by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council on 02.03.2016 and in line with the Arab Interior Ministers Council resolution dated 0.2 / 3/2016 considering Hezbollah militia a terrorist organization. Information ministers of the Gulf cooperation Council have agreed to take all legal measures to prevent dealing with any channel affiliated to Hezbollah militia, and their leaders, factions and organizations affiliated and emanating from it and considering them as terrorist militia, as they are seeking to stir up sedition and which incite chaos and violence, in flagrant violation of the sovereignty and the security and stability of the GCC countries and many of the Arab countries and their domestic law as well as provisions of international law, and moral and humanitarian principles and a threat to the security of the Gulf and the Arab, regional and international communities, and that those legal actions listed above-mentioned resolution will apply to all production, producers and industry media content companies and all that falls under the umbrella of the media, based on what provided in applicable laws in the GCC countries and the provisions of international law relating to the fight against terrorism. -- SPA 23:09 LOCAL TIME 20:09 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
