MADRID, Jumada I 25, 1437, Mar 5, 2016, SPA -- Spanish police arrested four minors allegedly involved in the fatal hit-and-run of a police officer in the northeastern province of Huesca, officials said Saturday, AP reported. Officer Jose Antonio Perez stopped the suspects' vehicle to carry out an alcohol test and leant into the car Friday night, police said. The 17-year-old driver accelerated, dragging the officer 460 meters (500 yards). The vehicle then hit a guardrail and crashed into an oncoming car, flinging the 54-year-old Perez onto the road where he died. Police said the youths then fled, abandoning Perez and two people injured in the other car. Police arrested two 17-year-olds — the alleged driver tested positive for drugs — and two 14-year-olds Saturday before delivering the suspects to juvenile court officials in the city of Barbastro. -- SPA 21:25 LOCAL TIME 18:25 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
