Arlington, Virginia, Jumada I 1, 1437, Feb 10, 2016, SPA -- U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter met with Canadian National Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan at North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) headquarters in Brussels Wednesday, the Pentagon said. “The two discussed the counter-Daash campaign, and the US secretary reinforced the United States’ commitment to intensify the fight against Daash,” Pentagon spokesperson Peter Cook said in a statement. “He thanked the minister for Canada’s announcement to triple their training mission in northern Iraq, double their intelligence effort, as well as expand their humanitarian and development contributions.
