Geneva, Rabi'II 23, 1437, Feb 2, 2016, SPA -- The High Commission of the Syrian Opposition for Negotiations canceled today a meeting with UN envoy to Syrian Staffan de Mistura. In a statement, Bassma Qazmani said that the opposition canceled the meeting due to the military escalation of the Syrian regime in Aleppo and Homs in addition to deterioration of situations on the ground, pointing out that the opposition gives more time for the UN envoy to achieve progress regarding the humanitarian issues before holding a meeting with him again.
