Jeddah, Rabi'II 11, 1437, Jan 21, 2016, SPA -- Adel bin Ahmad Al-Jubeir, Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressed that it is important to note that attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's diplomatic mission comes within the framework of the aggressive policies of the government of Iran and its continued interference in the internal affairs of the countries in the region. In his speech before an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah today, Al-Jubeir added that Iran seeks to spread sedition, unrest and chaos as well as incite sectarian strife in the region, stressing that Iran is the main reason of instability and wars in our region. "Iran is a member state which does not respect the Charter of our organization and its principles derived from our Islamic religion. Iranian government has reached a level of challenges and provocations as Iran proudly declares that it controls four Arab capital cities and trains (200 thousand fighters) in a number of countries in the region which is a clear evidence of Iran's current policies towards its neighbors and the Arab region," Al-Jubeir said. "The importance of this meeting is that this attack was a part of ongoing attacks on the diplomatic missions in Iran since thirty-five years. Tehran government did no exert any efforts to stop this tampering against the sanctity of diplomatic missions. Iran only issued some condemnatory statements while the responsibility of the host government is required to take actions," he added. --More 18:53 LOCAL TIME 15:53 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
