For his part, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius confirmed that he was honored to meet with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, pointing out that he handed King Salman a message from the French President. He lauded depth of relations between the two countries. The French Foreign Minister stressed that he discussed with the Saudi Foreign Minister a number of regional and political issues as well as political and economic relations between the two countries. Laurent Fabius added that they discussed the economic aspects and the political situation in the region, stressing his country's efforts in defusing tensions in the relations between the various countries in the region.
