Saudi Ambassador to UN: Kingdom welcomes Secretary General's Action Plan to Combat Extremism

United Nations, Rabi'II 06, 1437, January 16, 2016, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Maalami stressed that the Kingdom has been and is still a leader in the fight against terrorism and extremism in all its forms through security, social and intellectual efforts. This came in a speech during his participation last night at a meeting of the Member States of the United Nation organization. He pointed out that the Kingdom welcomes the efforts of UN's Secretary General Ban Ki-moon reflected in an action plan to combat extremism, explaining that one of the causes of extremism is foreign occupation, and noting that more extremism victims around the world are Muslims.
