Washington, Rabi'II 03, 1437, January 13, 2016, SPA -- The U.S. envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Ambassador Richard Olson, traveled to Kabul on Tuesday to meet with senior Afghan government officials, the State Department said. Olson “expressed continued U.S. support for the national-unity government and the Afghan-led, Afghan-owned peace and reconciliation effort. He also expressed continued U.S. support for the Afghan national defense and security forces,” the department said in a statement.
