KILLINGTON, Vt., Rabi'I 20, 1437, December 31, 2015, SPA -- Vermont State Police say a tractor-trailer crashed into an SUV on a mountain road covered with slush and ice, killing three people in a ski resort town, according to AP. Police say 41-year-old Lashawn Jones, of Alpharetta, Georgia, was driving the tractor-trailer east on Route 4 and the Cadillac SUV was traveling west in Killington when they crashed head-on Tuesday afternoon. Police say witnesses reported the truck veered into the oncoming lane. The SUV driver, 51-year-old Ryszard Malarczyk, and his wife, 50-year-old Anita, of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, were killed, as was their friend, 51-year-old Jaroslaw Karczewski, of Poland. Jones was taken to a hospital for examination of soreness. The Malarczyks' three children, ages 16 to 22, were in the middle and rear seats of the SUV and suffered broken bones and internal injuries. --SPA 03:09 LOCAL TIME 00:09 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
