Washington, Rabi'I 18, 1437, Dec 29, 2015, SPA -- A storm system that caused deadly tornadoes and flooding in the U.S. Midwest and Southwest pushed north Tuesday, bringing snow and ice from Iowa to Massachusetts and threatening another day of air travel delays. More than 40 people were killed in severe weather in the United States during the holidays last week, including 11 in the Dallas, Texas, area who died in a series of twisters that reduced buildings and homes to rubble. The weather also stranded tens of thousands of air travelers during one of the busiest travel periods of the year. By early Tuesday, 931 flights had been cancelled and 2,441 were delayed. Roughly 2,900 flights were cancelled Monday and nearly 5,000 others delayed. --SPA 20:57 LOCAL TIME 17:57 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
